Joan Liebowitz ~ "Artist To The Stars"

Joan Liebowitz affectionately referred to as the “Artist to the Stars”, is a prominent impressionist artist from New York, celebrated for her ability to depict beauty and balance in her paintings. She describes her talent as spontaneous, a “transference of the passion I feel from beauty, flowers a scene, a mood, to a painting, in watercolors”. Her work has been inspired by her world travels to the French Riviera, Monaco, Paris, London, Scotland, San Diego, Palm Springs, Southern Florida, the Islands, Bermuda and Mexico. Louise Nevelson calls her paintings, “fresh, free-flowing”. Studio publication, Monaco published of her exhibit, “The impressionist quality has been accomplished with a poetic spirit”.

Respected by Royalty and the Stars, her works have been acquired by Prince Charles, HSH Princess Grace, Sir James Cayzer, the Prime Minister of Norway, Alec Baldwin, Martha Stewart, Laurence and Mary Rockefeller and Leonard Bernstein. Collectors include Baron Von Ruckteschell, Albert C. Bellas, Mrs. Louise Lefkowitz, Benno Schmidt, Merrill Lynch, The Hyde-Cook Agency in South Hampton, Essex House, Good Food Magazine and many others. Several paintings have hung in patient rooms of the Sloan-Kettering Hospital, donated by Laurence and Mary Rockefeller.

Paintings have been displayed in the residence of the Ambassador to Zimbabwe and have been exhibited for the Bicentennial in Monte Carlo under the patronage of the Ambassador for the United States in Monaco.
