Bill Taylor-Beales -
I am a freelance fine artist working in oils, graphite, chalk and mixed media. Alongside my fine art I have been a freelance community artist working in large scale public art in Wales.
I am captivated by the face, and portraiture has become a main feature in all my latest pieces. I work as a commissioned portrait artist as well as a my own private collections and exhibitions.
I draw inspiration from many art forms including contemporary figurative artist such as Freud to classics such as Rembrandt and with a healthy smattering of Japanese Manga and mediaeval stained glass.
I studied at Portsmouth Art College and then served my 'apprenticeship' at Edward Lawrence Studios in Midhurst where I worked alongside such artists as Eduardo Paolazzi, Kenneth Armitage and Terrance Conran. I also worked on many Henry Moore sculptures and international museums. I have been working as a community and fine artist all my life.
