Hollis received a BA in fine art from Webster University, Missouri, in 1985. She has exhibited her work in Atlanta, St. Louis and Chicago.
Hollis’ paintings often flow in a series that center around the human condition; however beautiful or slightly haunting it may be. Some of her paintings depict the layering of emotion that at time abstract the true form. While other paintings tend to rip away at human behavior and deconstruct it into a true emotional tenor.
With the progression of each series of works, she experiments with color and other natural forms. Hollis says, "When I feel successful at a given process I start over and try not to repeat things I've already tried."
