Sun H.K. was born in South Korea and has been working in watercolor and oil painting for over forty years. She was a Design Director in the textile industry for twenty years. She studied textile surface design at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Inspiration for her art stems from her natural settings and from her love of God. She is open to painting all subject matters. Each of her different art creations are indicative of her sensitivity to color and fine details.

For Sun, “Art is my life. I want to share my gratitude towards my life and God. When I am painting, it gives me great peace. It is best way I can express the variety of emotions in my heart though both good times and troubles. My small hope is for my works of art to bring peace, happiness, and comfort to those who receive them.”
