Magpies are beautiful black and white birds abundant in the northern New Mexico mountains. Rainbows are stunning, and the pine tree on our property has had a broken limb for years but hangs on for dear life.
I enjoyed getting all three subjects in this painting. It is matted with a crimson mat and will make you proud of it wherever young hang it.

I am a self taught artist residing in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Angel Fire, New Mexico..I've been painting for nineteen years. I've painted in oil, watercolor and acrylic and occasionally pastel.
I usually use a part of my pieces in silhouette. I think it adds drama and interest. I use the bright colors of the southwest primarily because I enjoy them and people who have my paintings enjoy them as well.
