I was born and raised on Chicago's West Side Lawndale neighborhood.
My first exposure to art was at a local boys club. I drew a boat and it won first prize. From then on, art has become my instrument to express myself.
I like bright colors and forms. I like to create art without any preconceptions.
I describe my art like jazz. It starts with a simple line or form and from there it grows into its own composition.
But I also enjoy composing my ideas onto paper or canvas.
