Canadian born living in New York, my art journey started with doing F/X makeup on people and then on objects. Now I dabble in all types of art. I love to be different, unique, and wow people. My main goal and driving force for selling my art is to raise money for Suicide awareness and prevention, to fund my free art for mental health workshops (for the art supplies needed). With my workshops and the grace of God, I hope to prevent broken people from taking their lives by suicide.
The name Bellezze Imperfette means flawed beauties in Italian. I chose this name because the world emphasizes way too much on being "perfect". Perfect bodies, perfect relationships etc... This mentality can be very emotionally damaging to people who are self-conscious of what they feel are their flaws. Life is not perfect, people are not perfect, only God is perfect. I call the style of my art Imperfectionism, every piece I make is purposely flawed. It is a westernized version of the 12th century Wabi-Sabi flawed art in Japan. What is flawed to one is beautiful to another.
