Hello! Thank you for taking time to look at my art.

A Little Background: I was born and raised in Miami, Florida.

My father was a vegetable farmer.  I had many great adventures exploring my tropical environment as a youngster and my work reflects my love of nature and the outdoors.  I find great pleasure in creating art using a variety of mediums.  I have worked and lived in Florida, Kentucky, England, and New York.  My husband Chuck Davis (musician) and I now reside year round in Venice, Florida.

About my RESCUE project; I found myself drawn to the creation of individual portraits of rescue system dogs that so quickly lose their individuality when we view them as statistics. Each portrait spotlights a unique and individual dog within the rescue system. The 250+ portraits I've completed are 4 inches tall and 3 inches wide. The project isn't focused on a single breed or geographic area.  It doesn't dwell exclusively on sadness or misfortune. It doesn't exuberantly focus on only happiness and joy. More than anything, the project is designed to focus on hope.  It is a meditation on the varied and diverse world of the canine. It's a world from which we all benefit, and a world where personalities, and stories are as varied as our own. Each print  consists of 36 portraits.

"Tiny Works" are paintings of a wide variety I subjects. The paintings are a combination of rice and vintage papers painted in acrylics and archival pens.
