Aiko Suto

He works with different techniques and styles, but primarily painting oil on canvas, or watercolor and gouache, often with complex textures. Best known for his fine art paintings with attention to detail, his artworks are at once both realistic, traditional, inventive and energetic. For his paintings, his experimentation with painting is inspired by traditional methods of painting. As shifting forms become reconfigured through frantic and academic practice, the viewer is left with a hymn to the darkness of our future.
