Dr. Anita Varshney hails from a small city, Aligarh situated near the banks of holy river Ganges in northern India. At a very tender age, she started playing with colors under the influence of her father. Following her passion for colors, created her first oil painting "Two Sisters" in 1980. After completing post graduation, she was appointed as a lecturer and soon got married, while pursuing her Ph.D on Ajanta, Ellora and Elephanta caves. She has adeptly tackled roles of a wife, mother and a teacher, since then.
After a long hiatus, again enrolled and completed her doctorate in 2015 and is back with full zeal to soar into the world of her dreams. She credits her husband to be the absolute pillar of strength in all her endeavors. She loves to play with oil, acrylic and poster colors on canvas and has been lauded for her work at several national and international group art exhibitions.
