My approach in this series of small loose canvas paintings is to make it as raw and spontaneous as possible in a "cleansing" kind of way. We are voluntarily or involuntarily "image consumers" in an ocean of data. That makes it more difficult for inner clarity. Spontaneity and intuition is the blood of truth.The most significant moment is before it happens it shapes decisively the outcome. The style in Gok is defined by the spontaneous use of paint at first touch. Texture and surface are interlinked as object as well as memory.
