Okurimono is the fourth and last painting in my Japan in Gold series, oil on canvas with gold leaf, cm 80x100. The painting is characterized by the textured wall decorated with graffiti and the gold leaf insert. As for the whole series, these features represent modernity and ancient traditions which blend perfectly in Japan. Okurimono means gift in Japanese, as the girl is waiting for someone she will give the roses as a gift.
