Fan of Disney?

"Elsariel" is probably my largest undertaking of my painting series. I work from scratch in digital paint virtually the same way I work from scratch in reality, with some added conveniences of the digital medium.

"Elsariel", as it was commissioned, is both a surrean place a spirit, being the combined title of two Disney characters, Elsa, from Disney's "Frozen", and Ariel, from Dizney's "The Little Mermaid". What could be another extravagant (and rather immeasurably huge) ice castle created by Elsa stands tall near the horizon, yet is a floating isle much like the ones leading to it--an iceberg. These ice fragments serve as a medium for the world of Ariel as well, and her mermaid kingdom. A very close look into the painting will reveal many individual, contented figures--mermen and women--and also the queen herself, enjoying a leap with her new, enigmatic as-they-come-icey-mermaid tail, unfurling from her magic dress.
