Out here in New England there is an Island off of the coast of Newburyport MA called Plum Island. It is without a doubt the most serene beach on the East Coast with plenty of things to see. 6 miles of the beach was shut down due to the nesting of the Plover, so it is unfortunate that we cannot ever see those dunes again. I did, however, play out there when young so I got to experience it all. This boardwalk goes out into the marsh where the sanctuary is for bird species.
