This image is part of an ongoing series based on the sport of horse racing. This is a mixed media drawing on high rag content paper. I work intuitively which determines the media that I choose to use. The image expresses the energy and motion of the horse race event rather than a literal description. The work is gestural in nature in order to arrive at a balanced composition that remains fresh and alive. The viewer is invited to become involved in the process of creating a visual image that continues to grow.
