Elephants are the world’s largest land-living mammal.
Did you know the word “elephant” comes from the Greek word “elephas” which means “ivory”. This is an Asian elephant and you can tell by it's ears, they are smaller than African Elephants. They are Endangered and their population is decreasing because they are still hunted for Ivory, which is horrible. When I think of elephants I think of whales because one is the guardian of the ocean, elephants are guaridans of the land. This painting is part of my Vanishing Species Collection.
