Almost 30 year old painting. Painted it in 1993 I am very fond of. I painted it during some hard times on wood paneling then I wood glued it to thick particle board.I admire this man, living in the 1880's and trying to manage a art profession in those days had to be extremely difficult. Many people wonder why there isn't many black painters. when you check the history of the African American people, its obvious that survival was there main agenda.
