This is an Indian ink painting on watercolour paper. Inspired by the character of Odette in "Swan Lake" -a princess who is turned into a swan by a sorcerer and turns back into a woman at night. Rather than depicting her as the gentle, modest character she is given in the story, I decided to give her a more Queenly, determined quality. She is a royal woman who is in tune with nature and her intuition, who has the elegance and beauty of a swan.
