This painting is acrylic on glass, depicting a beaver dam in a northern Minnesota swamp land. I painted it on an old storm window from a cabin that was being remodeled. A lot of animals like to use this beaver dam to cross the swamp from one patch of woods to the other, including deer, moose, wolves, rabbits, and squirrels. The pond created by the beavers is also a great place to fish for trout, although chub minnows and scalpins are most often caught.
