I painted this painting for a friend's 40th birthday. This painting half finished also features here in my gallery as another work called "a work in progress". Isaiah 60:2 Arise & Shine is a scripture of encouragement for us to do and be all we can to be our best-to tap into our fullest potential, to never give up. In doing this we are reflections of our Creators glory-we are His 'masterpiece! I painted this before I knew that all of the times the Bible has the LORD in capitals is where Gods name Yahweh used to be in scripture before the 1611 King James Bible removed it. Now all my work reflects His name Yahweh and not just the title Lord. The butterfly is symbolic of being complete having gone through the caterpillar and cocoon stages. It finally breaks free! It can finally fly!
