Hercules Over the Hindu Kush represents the thousands of military air resupply flights aircraft such as the venerable C-130 Hercules performed for 20 years during the American involvement in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom.

The Hindu Kush Mountain range, known as the Killer of Hindus, is an extremely formidable mountain range where many of American and Allied military installations were located. This mountain range was major obstacle for many an army throughout history had to overcome since the days of Alexander the Great.

The C-130 is one of the oldest aircrafts still operating within the U.S. Force's inventory of aircraft.
