The county of Loon (French: comté de Looz) was a historical county in the Holy Roman Empire. Around 1020 it included only the region of Borgloon, but by 1200 it extended over much of present-day Belgian Limburg. From 1366 it was in personal union with the principality of Liege, but remained its own political entity until the French era.
