The legend of Buaya Bujang Senang, originates from the inland region of West Kalimantan. A young man named Bujang Senang from a village near a river befriends a crocodile that helps him catch fish. Some villagers consider him crazy and threaten to kill the crocodile. Bujang Senang defends his friend, but one day the crocodile disappears and is later found dead. Bujang Senang makes a crocodile statue in memory of his friend, symbolizing eternal friendship between humans and animals.
