This is the spectacularly colorful Montezuma Oropendola (Psarocolius montezuma), aka the "R2D2 bird" according to a friend of mine due to it's rather unusual call (yes, go an search the "inter-webs" for it)! They build beautiful pendulum-like nests that can reach 9-12 feet long. They are colonial builders and only the female builds the nest. Each colony is dominated by one male. They also have a dramatic bowing display.
