This large painting was inspired by Gothic architecture. It reminds me of the stained glass windows in old brick churches. This artwork is constructed on canvas with many different textures - in the face of the bricks, the grit of the mortar, the ripple of the old glass, and the lead that holds the glass panels together. This piece is surprisingly light and is in fact, made with recycled paper and foam.

The colors are very neutral in shades of beige, black and ivory with a pearlescent finish on the glass and a slight metallic and pearl finish on the bricks.

The painting is 30" x 40" x approximately 2". It is constructed on a gallery wrapped canvas and is wired for hanging.
