A folly in english is a building that has no particular purpose and which falls into some sort of ruin. This little capula rests on the hill of Bellosguardo. Just below the famous hotel but this is on a beautiful private property adjoining a farm. It's very beautiful in the mornings, especially if there is a mist. To whomever built it I am personally grateful, it has a special impact on the landscape and acts as a focal point. Without it the landscape would be pretty but lacking something and this is the something, well chosen and acting as a sort of spiritual focal point.
