We enjoy all types of feathered friends in our backyard garden. The Common Ground Dove is one of my favorites. They are smaller than the Mourning Dove. They have an interesting feature pattern around their neck. They are tiny birds with a short tail, pinkish brown underparts. If one looks cloesly at the wing area one can see a bit of the pinkish color under the wing. They love it here with all the water and food available for them. There are bird baths throughout our garden and small garden ponds with waterfalls where they can cool off while bathing. The Common Ground Doves are the cutest looking little birds that walk around our garden looking for food.
