This beautiful Red-shouldered Hawk perched on a tree stump was captured on the Silver River in Ocala, Florida. I remember it like it was yesterday. It was a cool fall morning as you can tell by the fall colors in the background. I love this image because of the analogous colors of the Red-shouldered Hawk and the fall colors. Hawks are beautiful predators that hunt other small animals to include birds. I love capturing the Red-shouldered Hawks, Red-tailed Hawks, and the Cooper's Hawks that hunt in our area.
