Meet Juno. She was my first foray into model-centric photo artistry. Juno is the Roman goddess of love & marriage & her Greek counterpart is Hera. She embodies renewal and "rejuvenation" and her associated animal is the peacock.

Getting started on this piece was intimidating because, well, that face! The model is gorgeous and what on earth could I do to make it more so? The "blank canvas" stumbling block is just as real when there is, indeed, a starting image that has had zero manipulation and editing done to it. Starting out with an excellent image sometimes makes it harder to determine where to begin.

Some people start with the end in mind, & know from the outset what they want the finished result to look like. I am NOT that person. I have no idea where the creative road will take me on any given image. Some of it is due to the fact I am much more analytical-brained than creative-brained. The personal goal of this learning endeavor is to expand the under-exercised half of my brain.
