This is a piece under my “Better Faces” category of drawings I create. Today in society, everyone is expected to look a certain way in order to be accepted. Your jawline has to be picture perfect. You have to wear the perfect amount of make up. You must be crazy if you think it’s “ok” to have tattoos on your face. Having pink hair is unnatural, therefore, it’s wrong… These type of stereotypical beliefs make me sick. In my “Better Faces” category of drawings, I go against the status quote.
In this piece, I drew fifteen “faces”, but at your first look, you will only see three. The three that you see depict how I feel whenever I see someone being ridiculed because they’re different. You’ll have to look closer if you want to see the deeper meaning of this piece. You may or may not find the deeper meaning, and you may or not find the rest of the “faces”. In the end it won’t matter, because as long as my creation made you use your brain instead of just glancing over it, I’ve done my job.
