This painting is done on sandstone with acrylics. When I did this we we're getting snow in Arizona, it inspired me to paint a winter scene and at the time it brought back memories of Colorado were I grew up and horses were my favorite to draw. This picture in my mind is the first snow of the year and the horses are heading back to the barn were they will be safe and warm.
