I painted this after trip to the Caribbean island of St Kitts...and this composition was inspired by a piece of Batik I had seen. The colours of the flowers were like this, vibrant and intense, as were the little humming birds in the bushes and treetops.I wanted to convey the sunshine and joy evoked by the natural beauty of the island.
