This is another of a series of paintings I created for this windmill. Here I have attempted to show the mill as it would have been in, say, the 1920/1930s when it was fully working, grinding corn brought to its loading stage by ships along the tidal waterway, direct from the sea. The lagoon beyond would at times have been the mooring place for cargo boats and vessels of various kinds including those carrying sails.
