This piece is one of several works labeled "Dust To Dust" and was photographed by K with her Nikon DSLR 3200. She decided to focus the color of the photo on just the rust on the roof. Much the same way that living beings die and return to the Earth, so do the things we build. All things will return, and this is something that fascinates K.
In this particular photo we see the front doorstep of an old abandoned home on a farmstead outside of town. It's being taken over by rust and vines that are pulling it back to the ground to decay.
