This piece was done with various Red oil paints over black to provide a dramatic and intense vibrancy. The composition was considered with areas of darker and lighter tones. It was designed to be emotional and thought provoking when viewed as well as meditative. This is a companion piece to Deep Blue and would look good individually or as a pair. The paint is laid on thick in multiple layers with various varnishes which give the piece visual depth.
