This was a piece inspired by the work of Edward Hopper. I used to drive underneath this train bridge in Southwest Detroit and admired how quiet the area can be. This is one of many train bridges that criss cross over roads and neighborhoods in this area of the city which is also connected to shipping yards as well as an area of Detroit known as Mexican town. It is also interesting that wildlife never fully disappeared despite the miles of concrete and steel. The original work was done in oil on canvas and was bought by a collector.
