This piece is part of a series of abstract works focusing on a select color field. This is the first in the series with multiple layers of blue and red over a textured surface to give the work more depth and narration. Various blues and reds were used mixed with varnishes to give it a vibrancy. The red forms were painted in five layers of brushwork not evident upon first glance. This piece will be brighter with good lighting and give your space sophistication with it's ab ex result. A print can be made, however if you can afford the original work I would highly recommend it as it will add much to your environment, something a print cannot compete with. It is timeless as it in part, is a throwback to 20th cent abstract expressionism. Message if you are interested in the original piece.
