“In my works, I usually try to depict the world as I see it, or to show a completely different side of it, that most people are not used to see. The subjects of my paintings often come to me in a dream or during meditation. Other times they arise spontaneously during the creative process itself: while I’m working on one picture, five more are born in my head. Besides, painting helps me to express strong feelings and my inner world. When I paint, it is very important for me to be in a certain emotional state, which then stays on canvas or paper and begins to live its own life to eventually reflect the world around”.
