In this piece, little kids in an orphanage in Accra, Ghana as part of an art outreach filled the canvas with white palm prints. They had so much fun doing something different and for a promised purpose of raising funds after its sale. The heavier task was taking the black canvas with white palm prints and making it a piece worth its story.

Turning every single palm print into these golden hands and adding splashes of color and texture gave me a powerful sense of harnessing the power of art in the simplest ways for such wonderful kids.
