I met the bather at the Müggelsee in Berlin and painting her I thought of the bathers of Courbet and Cezanne. In 2012, I have added this new and unique mixing technique of pigments, acrylic resin and acrylic paints to the many tools of art. In nature, the colors do not appear as if applied, as is the case with classical painting techniques. In nature, the colors seem rather as if radiating from within and immanent to the object. This observation ultimately gave me the key to the painting technique I was looking for: the surface of the painting itself must have a body in order to be able to reflect the atmospheric effects of nature. As painting bodies I use conventional materials such as paper, canvas and wood. As colors I use natural pigments, acrylic resin and acrylic paints, which are applied to the canvas in a complex and difficult process. The result is uniquely radiant colors that do not look like applied and that used to be created exclusively by nature itself.
