My mother has been a very positive influence in my life. I remember, as a child, she would take me into my grandparents garden and show me all the beautiful and marvelous ways of life. My mother encouraged me to not harm any life, whether I thought it was precious or not. The garden spider was one of my many friends. I was taught to live in harmony and coexist with all, whether big or small. This painting was a gift to my mother, but I would gladly paint it again, customized or not.
