The spectacle of “Coral Tree” a strange but somewhat “schizophrenic” tree inspired this painting full of brilliant pink, red and orange hues. The profusion of red buds transforms this exotic tree in a flowering cycle that defies nature - it drops all of its leaves completely first and then starts to bloom! The wonderful sight of clusters of orange-red flowers between its prickly branches could not be resisted but to capture that tropical wonder onto a canvas
