Artist Comments: Devils Tower National Monument is a unique geological rock tower which rises above the grassy plains of northeast Wyoming. It can be seen from miles away as one makes their approach to the national park. This tower is the centerpiece of the park and looks like a giant granite tree stump with a flat summit and fluted sides. At 867 feet it towers over head and is about a mile in circumference at the base. There is a 1.25 mile hiking path around the base of the tower which offers spectacular close-up views. A must see if you are in that part of the U.S.A.
