I painted this for my best friend’s fundraiser for her daughter who has Rett Syndrome. This painting is what got me into the 40 Under 40 Exhibit at Maryland Hall. This piece was so challenging and I almost gave up on the waves. I painted this in 2019 and wasn’t very confident in my ability to paint. It took several days and several sit downs to figure out how to paint those waves. There’s like 10 layers of paint under there. If you could peel back each layer you would see one crappy wave after another:)
