The phases of the moon represented through the life-cycle of a pomegranate fruit.

Starting with the New Moon, as a planted seed.
As the Moon Waxes, the pomegranate tree grows and flowers.
The Full Moon represents the pomegranate fruit at it's fullest & ripest phase.
The Waning Moon phases align with the death of all fruit & leaves.
But death in astrology is always a rebirth as well...as we plant the seeds of another New Moon.
