An artwork started as a commissioned painting wherein I made three specimen design choices from a client in Connecticut, USA. Obviously relevant is my original style of painting literals of black, white & lavender incorporated with whatever appropriate outline design in black and white. Which in this case a simple full-blown rose. As I had completed all my previous landscape & still lifeartworks on mountboard, it felt like a fresh start again with my abstracts that really felt good with this new project painting. The painting process I had done in this artwork was systematically to the point, I started with the usual sample design on paper before transferring the chosen design image unto the canvas. Next procedure was utilizing coloured pencils strategically placing the colour patterns of the background in sequential order. Then I started filling up the oil paints by starting with white, lighter shades, darker tones up to black.
