I called this artwork 'Post Project Knife Painting' due to the fact that it is done in knife painting technique in oil. It is not part of the project painting from the DIY book of Angela Gair but rather after I had finished painting all the project paintings (from the book) and it is the last of the paintings I got inspired from the book. The title of the painting where I got the inspiration is 'Shoreham Valley' by the artist John Denahy. In fact, this is the second painting from the Knife Painting chapter of the said book (my second knife painting as well)--- and I can state in confidence that no doubt that knife painting produces delicate effects, bold textures and revealing impasto layers. In this knife painting I tried all the possible applications i.e. flat broad sweeps, sharp tip, angular marks, ripple effect, skimming and scratching my own signature to the point of revealing the underneath colour.
