"Empyrrean, home world of the ARM rebellion."

This landscape project deals with duality of meaning, not in a single image, but through a series of images. The motivation behind these landscapes were my life experiences, which the paintings reflect. The concept of juxtaposition of opposing themes was also inspiring, like utopia versus dystopia, new and old, beginning and end... alpha and omega. The purpose and aim of this series of works was to express life experiences in a chronological fashion. For example, children start their life instilled with innocence, promise, and hope; symbolically lush and green. Over time (depending on their upbringing) children’s lives may be tainted by the ways of our world, eventually becoming hectic and unstable, their lives turning from being full of promise, to being full of turmoil.
