Remember when Covid-19 was just starting to be talked about? The fear that was starting to take hold of everyones emotional beings. This artwork came about during that time. The covid cells with the spikes on them surfacing and floating through the air, as it affects our bodies.
I wanted to remember that time, as I felt it was going to be a big mark in history, and the image that kept playing in my head was the cell with the spike. My take on it was the cells being completely red, as it represented the fright and the blood being shed.
It has taken me quite a while to release this piece, as it now has more meaning and impact, as we are almost 5 months into what has become one of the worst pandemics our world has ever seen. In wanting to spread hope and love, I was hesitant in the dark side that this resonates. My hopes are that someone will find the historical value or meaning behind this that holds a more touching aspect to them personally.
