Arellano's paintings have been exhibited in a number of European countries and form part of private collections there, as well as in Nicaragua and other countries of Latin America. Artists, political figures and diplomats make pilgrimages to this remote island to see him and buy his work.

Arellano, like the other primitivist painters of these islands, came to the realization forty years ago that his paintings had value and were prized outside the country.
